To gain an edge in a long-standing war, the Giamel region began creating "Weapon Monsters"—deadly bio-mechanical hybrids—by capturing and exploiting the "Gods of Magic," a group of ancient, powerful sorcerers. The plan backfired when the sorcerers partially awakened from their trances and used their immense powers to seize control of the facility's main computer.
